MRGRG e-mail network

The Military Retiree Grass Roots Group (MRGRG) e-mail network is a loosely organized nationwide e-mail network. The chart below is designed to illustrate how it works.

As an example, the owner of MRGRG-MS sends messages he generates or forwards messages he receives to the, MRGRG-MS, MRGRG-MS-TALK, MRGRG-MS-Brown-Bag-Participants, and the Lonestargrp e-mail lists. People on these lists in-turn forward the messages they receive or generate to their e-mail lists. This creates a reverse pyramid effect. An e-mail message sent by any e-mail list owner is likely to reach many people. There is a lot of overlap in this system and as a result one might receive a given e-mail multiple times, but a given e-mail message sent reaches thousands of military retirees.
