This is a web page that was designed to assist the military retiree grass roots movement in their effort to regain the medical care that was promised before their retirement. Some of the medical care that was promised was restored when the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2001 was signed into law on 30 Oct 2000. This web page will remain on the Internet as a reminder of THE WAY IT WAS. The American people and the United States Congress must never forget that which is owed to its military retirees, military veterans, active duty military, and their dependents.

Well troops, as you all know we have won the battle, not the war but the battle. We have gained more this year than in the past 40+ years.

The time has now come to take a short rest, think of who you want to fight for you in congress, the senate and as president. It is your choice, so on the 7th get out and make that choice. "VOTE"

Now I wish to thank all for your donation to assist with the billboards. It was a long hard expensive project, but I believe effective. There is so many out there that has helped me through this, not only with the money but with advice, boy did I need advice. I know there were some harsh words exchanged, but with the hours some of us put in I can see why.

I have on record all letters, and with and with out donations on file, each name, address, phone number, e-mail address and amount is logged. It has amazed me at what so few has done.

Jim and Floyd got it started, Ronnie Shows got the bill going, Phil worked his magic with the bill, Art Schefler with the billboard idea, Shirley DuBey with the sad sack idea, TREA artist Jack Dempsey for the art work, Lamar agents for their donations of the billboards, all of you for your ideas and advice that got the message on the billboard.

Thank ALL of you for your donations, which ran from $1.00 to $500.00, the millions of e-mails that spread the word, the news reporters, TV stations that help spread the word, Merle and Emil with the bumper stickers, Lonnie with lonestar group, then there was the House of representatives, the senate and the president who signed the bill. Not one of these could be left out, if so we could have lost.

We stuck together and won the battle. Is it over, no, there is more battles to be fought. The billboard donations still goes on as we will be back after the first of the year with more billboards.

Thank you all. Jack Hollinsworth (Billboard Project Manager)
