This Billboard Project, which is supported by Military Retiree Grass Roots Group contributions, is designed to educate the American people and the Congress in reference to the military retiree medical care broken promise issue.

Why do we need a billboard project?
While the now military retirees were on active duty in the United States Armed Forces, personnel in positions of authority acting as agents of the United States Government promised millions that if they served for 20 or more years in the military and retired they would receive no cost medical care for themselves and eligible dependents at military treatment facilities for as long as they lived.
In the process of down sizing the United States Military, at the end of the cold war, a large number of military bases and military treatment facilities have been closed. This has created a situation where inadequate space is available to accommodate the military retiree community. As a result, the medical care that was promised to the military retirees is being denied by the United States Government. The medical care promise has been broken.
Public Law 106-398 attempts to restore the medical care promise, but does not fulfill the lifetime medical care promised at no cost to all military retirees and eligible dependents.
